General Security Web Based Training


Welcome to Security in the Intelligence Community (IC) - provides SCI-approved personnel with guidance on fundamental security concepts and their personal responsibilities. It introduces basic concepts needed to protect classified activities, procedures, systems, and facilities. This course is an introduction to security concepts for people who have just been granted a security clearance with SCI access.

It reviews basic concepts needed to protect classified activities, procedures, systems, and facilities. It also focuses on changes within security in a post 9/11 world. This course is useful as a refresher for security practitioners.

Unauthorized Disclosure Web Based Training


Unauthorized Disclosures of Classified Information defines unauthorized disclosures, the damage that they can cause, common misconceptions related to the disclosure of classified information, and the responsibilities of IC employees related to unauthorized disclosures. This course is based on the requirements specified under ICD 701.

Classification Management and the IC Marking System WBT


ONCIX is pleased to announce the deployment of the Classification Management and IC Markings System Web-based training (WBT).  It was prepared in collaboration with the Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO) and Intelligence Community (IC) elements, and fulfills Executive Order (EO) 13526 training requirements for derivative classifiers, as well as IC markings system training as directed by Intelligence Community Directive 710.


The Classification Management and IC Markings System WBT focuses on derivative classification principles established in the EO, emphasizing the need to avoid over-classification.  Additional topics include classification levels, duration of classification, identification and markings, classification prohibitions and limitations, sanctions, classification challenges, security classification guides, and information sharing. 


ONCIX provides this WBT as a service to all recipients and authorized holders of National Security Information (NSI), and will be revised annually.   It is intended for all IC elements but also may be useful to employees (staff and contractors) of other U.S. Government agencies.
