strategy & policy

The Strategy & Policy section supports the NCIX and the CI community by integrating counterintelligence activities at a strategic level. The section is responsible for producing the annual National Counterintelligence Strategy. The Strategy establishes strategic objectives for US national security and organizational, programmatic, and budgetary priorities for US counterintelligence. S&P is composed of subject matter experts from across the CI community including the CIA, FBI, NSA, DoD, and DoE. This diversity ensures comprehensive understanding of individual agency requirements and missions, while reinforcing collaboration and integration. The section routinely works closely with other policy representatives throughout the Intelligence Community and utilizes the information presented during these events to propose remedies and provide actionable alternatives to the NCIX. It champions a process by which community experts are given opportunities to review, coordinate, and recommend the guidelines by which we as a community operate.
